A great opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated Surveyor to join our Asset Management Team, based at our office in Ashton-under-Lyne.

Within this role you will be responsible for undertaking surveys to both occupied and void properties with a view to preparing specifications for delivery of void works, coordination and raising of day to day repairs and undertaking in depth surveys to diagnose defects. You must also have an understanding of dealing with aids and adaptations requests & legal disrepair by producing supporting documents.

You will work within authorised budgets and to agreed quality standards whilst ensuring that our in-house Building Company and external contractors perform to specification and contractual terms. You will also be expected to manage insurance claims related to properties, limit risk to the organisation through working knowledge of legislation and risk management and specification, authorise and manage works to completion and carry out pre and post inspections.

You will demonstrate current knowledge of all relevant legislation and Health & Safety regulations including Asbestos.

The successful candidate will be a strong team player who puts customers first and will have a positive 'can do' attitude. You will be highly organised with a passion for service excellence and continuous improvement and will be a strong communicator who is confident when liaising with people at all levels.

Being capable of working to deadlines is essential as is the ability to work with minimum supervision, planning and prioritising your own workloads and have the ability to work on your own initiative whilst maintaining a team ethos.
