Application For Consent

Please provide a full description of the work you wish to carry out including the location, details of any alterations to walls, doors, fixtures or fittings and any electrical, gas, heating or plumbing work.  In most cases a plan or drawing showing this information will help us to understand what you intend to do. Space is provided overleaf or you may wish to attach as a separate sheet to this form if needed.

The more information you give us at this stage the quicker we will be able to process your application.

All work should be carried out by competent persons to a satisfactory standard and we reserve the right to inspect any work should we wish to do so.

Any Electrical work must be carried out by an NICEIC or ELECSA registered electrician and a copy of any certificate issued must be supplied to us.

Any Gas work must be carried out by a GasSafe registered engineer and a copy of any certificate issued must be supplied to us.

NICEIC, ELECSA and GasSafe are organisations who are approved to certify that work undertaken by their registered engineers complies with the Building Regulations and relevant safety standards and will issue certificates to confirm this. Website links:

Some types of work may also need to be approved by your local council  such as structural alterations, work to drains, driveways onto the highway for example. They may impose restrictions on where and how certain works can be carried out such as driveways/hard-standings and satellite dishes. For more information visit:

Any Planning permission or Building Regulations approval must be sought, where applicable, and copies must be supplied to us. It is your responsibility to check with your local council whether these are required.

We may approve your application subject to specific conditions or write to you requesting further information. In all cases consent is subject to any specific conditions imposed by your Tenancy Agreement.
